The National Board of Accreditation was, initially, set up in September, 1994, by the AICTE, in order to assess the qualitative competence of educational institutions from the Diploma level to the Post Graduate level in Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture and related disciplines. The NBA in its present form, as an independent organization, under the Societies Registration Act 1860 has come into existence w.e.f. 7th January, 2010, with the objective of assurance of quality and relevance of education, especially in technical disciplines through the mechanism of outcome based accreditation of programmes and institutions offering technical and professional education...
